Personal Side Projects

Riso print. Practicing with color setup and different inks on colored paper. A fun activity I did while I was a Riso Print Fellow at the Rad Lab–an opportunity to learn how to print projects for fellow design and art students.
Acrylic paint. A study in grayscale to color application. I love bending perspective and accentuating areas in a composition that are closer to the camera.
Freehand etching on copper plate. I was inspired by the power of a chain-link fence and the role it has played across the globe. How such a simple pattern can both protect and barricade lives. After returning from Uganda and Kenya I was trying to make sense and reconcile everything that I had witnessed and ended up growing going through the entire printmaking program as Portland Community College. A humbling and growing period in my personal growth.
